My sweet Russell,
You turned one years old this week. It is so fun to see you discover the world but deep down inside I wish you would just stay asleep in my arms snuggling. You have the most delicious smell. And you adore me and still leave your cheek next to mine lingering. You said your first word today that wasn’t dad die or mama. I missed it but Dad was there. You said Nana. You can wave good night, you clap your hands, and feee yourself. You suck on a Binky sometimes but I think you actually don’t care that much about it.
You hate staying in our pew at church. You are always trying to escape by crawling away. I always hold onto the waiste of your pants as your legs keep moving and your pants slowly come off.
You love watching your siblings. You spend a lot of time sitting in your high chair or there indoor swing watching all the things they do. They love you. Meriden and Jeffrey really make an effort to keep you happy and to play with you. If you accidentally hurt them or take their things they just let you because they really love you. Jeff is always saying, “Russell’s just so cute right mom?”
For your birthday we gave you a little stuffed animal raccoon. You don’t care too much for it now but I think it’ll be fun to have when you’re older knowing that it was yours on your first birthday.
You have been my most different milk drinker. You are my first child to not give me mastitas or blosters. However at just 5 months old started arching your back in defiance to eating on the left side. Over time it got harder and harder to eat on hag side. When Hug turns 9 months you got your first tooth and the minute you I put you on the left side you bit me so hard. That was the end of the left side. After that you slowly just ate less and less from me and my already steuggling milk became like a 2 minute nursing session that would end in you crying for more. We had been supplementing here and there with formula before but by 10 months, formula was the majority of all your milk.
You have he cutest soft blonde hair that I see the tiniest tint of strawberry blond in it.
You’re very easy going and are quite happy. You lately have been tossing your food on the floor only to come back to it later and eat it off the floor.
You started crawling at about 9 months.
I love you my sweet baby!
Love, Cherise
