Russell, 

You are such an exceptional kid. I tell you this often, but I don't know if you realize how special you are. 

What 6 year old, will go completely out of his way to help his little sister or baby brother. The other day you chose a sticky frog from the library reading prize box. When we got home, Estella realized she wanted the sticky frog. She cried and cried. At first you told her no, it was yours. I told her the same thing. She tried to give you her prize- a little ball- but you wanted what you have. After a little while, you hated seeing her sad and upset and agreed to share the sticky frog with her. 

You do this type of thing all of the time. You are a peacemaker. 

Your whole world really is hanging out with your 2 older brothers. You boys play pretend, pick berries, catch grasshoppers, collect eggs, wash lavasand, explore and do so much together. 

You always carry a backpack lately... though i have no idea what you're carrying in it. 

You're really progressing well with your reading and can decode words so well. You're also remembering your sight words!

Dad took you on a one-on-one last night and you were so excited. You are so special Russ and I love you so much. 

Remember, Christ will always help you through anything that is hard in your life. He loves you and wants to be near you.
